The aim of this website is to provide information about how people understand language.
We take a cognitive neuroscience perspective: we try to uncover the specific cognitive processes that support language comprehension and how these are instantiated in the brain.
We focus on skilled adult comprehension (for now!).
Our view is that a detailed understanding of how highly proficient adults are able to understand language is necessary for any attempts to understand (i) how these skill develop through childhood, and (ii) why some people find language comprehension difficult.
